Squids are enemies in the Super Cat Tales series and Drop Wizard.

Physical appearance

Squids have a round white body with a pointy tip. They have four visible, short tentacles that lie just below the body. Squids have a pair of black eyes shaped like short vertical lines and pink cheeks shaped like small rectangles.

Squids in Drop Wizard have rounder bodies and their shading is in a lighter blue as opposed to the version in the Super Cat Tales series.

Behavior

Squids take three strides along the ground before leaping high enough that the player can move under them. If more than squid appears in a level, their moving patterns are usually synchronized. In Drop Wizard, squids will fall off the edge of platforms and can be affected by sandfalls. They can also hatch from eggs.

In Super Cat Tales: PAWS, squids disperse two ink balls - one on either side - upon landing on the ground. Making contact with these ink balls will cause the player to take damage.

Strategy

• Super Cat Tales: PAWS - Squids can be defeated by running into them from any side with any cat. They can also be defeated in one hit with an attacking helper. The player may risk being hit by the ink balls if they run and hit the squid as it lands on the ground.
• Super Cat Tales 2 - Squids can be defeated by running into them from any side with McMeow, Olli or Robo Kitty.
• Super Cat Tales - Squids can only be defeated without taking damage if the player equips an attacking helper at a pink spot.
• Drop Wizard - When squids leap, they cannot be hit with a projectile. To defeat them, the player must fire a projectile or roll an enemy while the squid is on the ground.

Other

• Squids make additional appearances in Super Cat Tales: PAWS:
  • Squids appear as a catchable creature in Fishing Spot 2. They are active at daylight and dusk.
    • The chef in Portobello will ask for the player to catch and bring three squids to them as part of their second request.
  • The player may receive a daily quest to defeat 20 squids with any cat.
• A squid appears as a snowman in Level 4-? in Super Cat Tales.
