The Halloween update was an event in Super Cat Tales: PAWS that was released on October 11, 2023. It added new hats, a minigame, a special quest and decorations related to the Halloween occasion. The Halloween event ended on November 6, 2023 with the release of version 1.0.61 on Android and 1.0.60 on iOS. Decorations and pumpkins were removed, but the minigame Flappy Bat is still playable in the arcade. Any Halloween hats the player purchased before the end of the event would still be kept in their inventory.

The Halloween update included additions to the current levels of the game.

Hats

Four Halloween hats were made available in the shop. The pumpkin mask, monster mask and voodoo hat were purchasable with coins while the skull mask still remains free for VIP players.

Flappy Bat

Main article: Flappy Bat

The pink arcade cabinet on the far right of the arcade building has a minigame called Flappy Bat, which is a Flappy Bird imitation with a bat flying through gaps in castle buildings instead of a bird through gaps in pipes.

Pumpkin quest

Ten pumpkins were placed across ten different levels and would light up when the player interacted with them. The player could talk to Olli at the P.A.W.S. Base to keep track of their progress, though talking to Olli was not necessary to initiate the quest. Some pumpkin locations were hinted at by their presence on the level select maps. The game counted the pumpkin as being found as soon as the player made contact with them, and finishing a level was not necessary to save progress on the quest.

Locations
Level	Description
1-2	Found in the third screen, sitting atop an egg nest nearby a sleeping rock. The player would reach the nest by moving the sleeping rock to the right, then climb to the top of the rock and jump to the left.
1-3	Found in the upper part of the level, in the same screen as the third bell with the ropes and pollen minions. The pumpkin was located on a branch on the leftmost tree in the area.
1-4	Take the upper path that requires Rigs to access. The pumpkin was found in the room with the spiders and pollen minions at the bottom of the rope.
1-5	Found in fifth screen in the same area as the finish block. The pumpkin was under the leftmost wooden platform and required Rose to crawl under the narrow passage to access it.
1-💀	Found in the hidden room that required Rose to access by crawling through a narrow passage to the right of the top exit directly above the rope. Once inside the room, the player needed to use Rokko to break the first set of grey bricks to the right of the door.
2-2	Found in the fourth screen in between two pillars above the water, to the left of a Jellow and a sleeping rock. The player needed to use Rose to access it. The three coins that are typically in this enclosed area were moved to the short raised platform to the left of the spinning spike.
2-3	Enter the house in the second screen of the level. The pumpkin would have been found to the left of the door inside.
2-🏠	Enter the house in the top part of the village with the Torotoki and their grandfather. The pumpkin was located directly to the left of the door.
2-6	Found in the second screen directly to the left of the second bell, surrounded by ice blocks. Similar to obtaining the bell, the player had to get the nearby Firo to spit fireballs onto the ice blocks and melt them.
2-💀	Found in the screen where the player faces Cloe. The pumpkin was located in a castle to the left of the boss arena and could be accessed by climbing up the right side of the wall and walking through the hidden passage.

If the player talks to Olli after all ten pumpkins have been interacted with, they will be awarded with 500 coins.

Halloween makeover

Parts of the game were decorated to reflect the Halloween occasion. These were present in the P.A.W.S. Base and some buildings in Worlds 2-3 and 2-🏠.

Decorations

• The splash screen displayed a nighttime background with purple clouds and adds jack o' lanterns on either side of the "tap to play" text.
• Ghost, skull and pumpkin decals could be seen on walls and windows of some buildings.
• A purple and orange triangle banner was added to the ceiling inside some buildings.
• A bowl of candy was inside some buildings.

NPCs

A tamago wearing a zombie mask was added to the left of the arcade building. Some NPCs at the P.A.W.S. Base also had updated Halloween-related dialogue:

•  Wombat: Found any pumpkins yet?
•  Pig: Trick or treat? How about both? Haha!
•  Orange cat: They say cats bring good luck on Halloween.
•  Zombie tomo: Braaaaains... I mean, treats!
•  Gray tomo blue punk: Try Flappy Bat, I added this one just in time for Halloween!
