Canyon mole
Canyon moles are enemies in Super Cat Tales: PAWS, Super Cat Tales 2 and Super Cat Tales.
Physical appearance[edit]
Canyon moles have a yellow, semicircle-shaped body with a brown horizontal band at the bottom. They have a pink mouth and a pair of black eyes shaped like thin vertical rectangles with gray pupils. They are surrounded by a tan-colored dirt clod.
Behavior[edit]
Canyon moles are encountered on the ground or on ledges or ceilings outdoors, typically in desert or cave areas. They are stationary and face the left or right direction for a brief moment before turning to look in the opposite direction.
If a canyon mole spots the player, it will become alert and dash underneath its dirt clod, where the player cannot reach it. The canyon mole will re-emerge from the same dirt clod after a short while and resume its regular pattern.
Strategy[edit]
Canyon moles can be defeated if run into from any side with an attacking cat in any game except for the first Super Cat Tales. If run into from behind, the player will be more likely to hit the canyon mole before it has a chance to notice the player and hide out of combat range. Canyon moles can also be defeated from the front side if the player is nearby and able to hit one as it is in the process of hiding.
