Broken files (completed)[edit]

The wiki fork has mostly finished completion and is ready for launch. The main page has been updated and the appearance has mostly been adjusted. There are two main features that the Fandom wiki used that need to be fixed in the fork:

  • Videos - Video files on Fandom used File pages, which are not the case on Wiki.gg. Therefore, any broken video links on pages will need to be replaced with an EmbedVideo tag.
  • Interactive maps - Mostly present in the Worlds pages for Super Cat Tales 2 and Super Cat Tales: PAWS. Maps will need to be replaced with images directly on the page.

Videos[edit]

The following should be a list of all pages with broken file links, many of which should include videos that broke in the fork.

If you find broken videos, search for their video URL on YouTube. You can use Template:Video gallery and Template:Vgv to format the videos into a gallery. They will have to be separate from images, so for gallery pages, make a new heading for "Videos" and apply the new templates as needed.

Reformatting pages[edit]

Currently working on reformatting some articles. This applies to pages about enemies, hazards. items and interactive objects:

  • All page titles focusing on a specific component should be renamed to their singular form, e.g. a page about the samurai enemies from the Double Panda series should be titled "Samurai" instead of "Samurais".
    • Pages that focus on a list of different types of enemies should be kept in their plural form. For example, a page about all enemies from Lost Yeti would be titled "Enemies (Lost Yeti)", not "Enemy (Lost Yeti)" as that page would cover all different types of enemies.
    • Pages with variations of the same enemy will remain in their singular form. For example, an article covering all different types of pollen minions where their only difference is size would still be under the title "Pollen minion" instead of "Pollen minions".
    • Pages about enemies that are always referred to in their plural form should be given their pluralized title, e.g. if "Scissors" were an enemy, the page would be titled "Scissors" not "Scissor" as this word would never appear in the singular form.
  • Navbox templates will also need to be updated to reflect this change, along with the bulleted list of the components on the game pages. Infobox titles should also follow the above rules, using singular form. However, the opening text should still refer to the enemy in plural form.

New sections[edit]

  • Currently working on removing "Appearance" sections from most articles. I don't really think they're necessary for the majority of these articles (especially ones with images). The only exceptions I can think of are:
    • The subject is only referred to in dialogue / text and has no image.
    • The subject takes on a large variety of appearances, and the "Appearance" section is more an overview of the subject's change in appearance over time.
  • If we re-add "Appearance", rename the section to "Physical appearance" as I want to add a section on these articles for "Appearances", i.e. which levels/games the subject appears in.

For enemy pages specfically, instead of "Appearance" and "Game information", I suggest this new format:

  • Behaviour - Describes the enemy's behavioural patterns - how they move, what they do independently and in relation to the player, etc.
  • Strategy - Describes the player's strategy to approaching, avoiding and/or defeating the enemy. Can it be killed? How can it be avoided? I don't want this to be like a tips guide - remain neutral whenever possible.
  • Appearances - List the games and breakdown the levels (where applicable) of where this enemy appears.
