Super Cat Tales: PAWS/Version history

This is the version history for the Android and iOS versions of Super Cat Tales: PAWS. The game had an announced release date of May 25, 2023, however, it was first available to download on May 24, 2023 under version 1.0.4 for Android and 1.0.18 for iOS.

Android[edit]

1.0.5[edit]

Version 1.0.5 was released on May 25, 2023 and corresponds with version 1.0.19 on iOS. It fixed the following issues:

Rigs getting stuck when hit with an enemy or baseball in World 2-3.
A typo in the Italian translation when catching a fish.
Collision bugs that could be encountered in Worlds 1-6, 2-3 and 2-💀.
A softlock that could occur if the player was stunned while climbing up a ledge.
A softlock that could occur if the player was stunned and died on the same frame.

Version 1.0.6 was released on May 28, 2023.

1.0.8[edit]

Version 1.0.8 was released on May 29, 2023 and fixed issues with coins earned from daily quests and selling fish not being saved if the player did not complete a level.

1.0.10[edit]

Version 1.0.10 was released on May 31, 2023 and corresponds with version 1.0.22 on iOS. It fixed the following issues:

The daily quest streak resetting even when the player had completed the previous day's quest.
A typo in the inventory description for the black pirate bandana.

1.0.12[edit]

Version 1.0.12 was released on June 1, 2023 and included bug fixes.

1.0.25[edit]

Version 1.0.25 was released on June 2, 2023 and corresponds with version 1.0.26 on iOS. It added win codes to daily quests.

1.0.26[edit]

Version 1.0.26 was released on June 3, 2023 and fixed Google Play service issues in regards to leaderboards and achievements.

1.0.27[edit]

Version 1.0.27 was released on June 5, 2023 and corresponds with version 1.0.27 on iOS. It removed win codes from daily quests.

1.0.29[edit]

Version 1.0.29 was released on July 18, 2023 and fixed an issue where players did not get ads.

1.0.30[edit]

Version 1.0.30 was released on July 21, 2023.

1.0.31[edit]

Version 1.0.31 was released on July 22, 2023 and corresponds with version 1.0.30 on iOS. It added four limited edition hats to the shop for the summer. It also included the following fixes and adjustments:

The sell prices of many fish were adjusted:
- Fish that sold for 4 now sell for 3.
- Fish that sold for 8 now sell for 5.
- Fish that sold for 16 now sell for 12.
- Fish that sold for 32 now sell for 24.
Non-VIP players are given the option of watching an ad at the end of a level to double the amount of coins they collected.
The player can now only hit Mesa from behind and his stun cooldown occurs independently of when the player hit him.
Fixes a typo in the Spanish translation.

1.0.32[edit]

Version 1.0.32 was released on August 16, 2023.

1.0.35[edit]

Version 1.0.35 was released on August 19, 2023 and corresponds with version 1.0.32 on iOS. This version renamed the premium purchase to "VIP" and and added nine VIP-exclusive hats. It also included the following fixes and adjustments:

Missing characters in the Russian translation, resulting in white boxes being shown in text boxes.
Golden bat multipliers were reduced from 1.5x and 2x at levels 2 and 3 to 1.25x and 1.5x.
When opening the app, the game now goes directly to the splash or promo screen instead of playing the intro. The intro can still be viewed while waiting on the splash screen for fifteen seconds.

1.0.55[edit]

Version 1.0.55 was released on September 25, 2023 and corresponds with version 1.0.55 on iOS. This version added the Gachapon minigame and included the following fixes and adjustments:

Adding decorative hermit crabs to the beach levels of World 2.
Adding an options menu allowing players to toggle:
- Quality (normal or low) - Adjusts the quality of the graphics for players with older devices.
- Skip intro (yes or no) - Configures whether the player will see the intro cutscene when starting up the game.
  - If "yes", the intro will always be skipped and the game will go straight to the splash screen, similar to 1.0.35. It will still automatically play upon waiting on the splash screen for fifteen seconds.
  - If "no", the intro will play every time on startup, similar to versions before 1.0.35. It can still be skipped by tapping on the screen while the cutscene is playing.
The price of Mega Pang increased from 2 (VIP: 1) to 4 (VIP: 2) per play.

New pumpkin flavored quest!

Version 1.0.58 was released on October 11, 2023 and corresponds with version 1.0.58 on iOS. This version was promoted as the Halloween update and includes:

New Halloween-themed hats (pumpkin mask, monster mask, voodoo hat and skull mask).
The minigame Flappy Bat, playable in the arcade.
The player can search for hidden pumpkins in levels in exchange for a reward.
The splash screen, level maps and P.A.W.S. Base have some Halloween-themed decorations added to them.

This version also includes price adjustments to the arcade minigames:

Mega Pang cost decreased from 4 (VIP: 2) to 3 (VIP: 1).
Gachapon cost decreased from 50 (VIP: 25) to 40 (VIP: 20).

Fixed Olli's dialogue

Version 1.0.59 was released on October 12, 2023 and corresponds with version 1.0.59 on iOS. This version fixes issues related to Olli's dialogue for the pumpkin quest:

In the English version, the pumpkin counter would be shown in Olli's normal dialogue after completing the quest.
In other languages, Olli's dialogue would display "string not found" while the pumpkin quest was active.

1.0.61[edit]

Minor bug fixes and improvements.

Version 1.0.61 was released on November 6, 2023 and corresponds with version 1.0.60 on iOS. This version restores the game's app icon back to its original state before the Halloween update, removing all decorations and hats that were purchasable from the shop. The minigame Flappy Bat is still available to play in the arcade and any Halloween hats purchased prior to this update will still be accessible to wear.
