Scarecrows are enemies in Super Cat Tales: PAWS and Super Cat Tales 2.

Physical appearance[edit]

Scarecrows have a light gray head and dark grey body, with brown arms and a brown stick protruding out from the bottom of their body. Each arm has a pointy white spike with a black outline. On top of their head, scarecrows wear a brown pointy hat with a wide brim and orange trim. Some orange details stick out of the top of their hat and can also be seen where the body and the bottom stick intersect.

Behavior[edit]

Scarecrows make leaps in the air that are tall enough for the cat to run under. When they land on the ground, they will pause before leaping in the air again. Their air time is slower than that of the traveler on a pogo stick.

When jumping in the air, scarecrows may travel horizontally and move back and forth along the ground in a fixed area. In some locations, they may only leap straight into the air and remain in one fixed position in relation to the ground.

Strategy[edit]

Since scarecrows have spikes on them, the player cannot run into them from the sides without becoming stunned and/or getting a game over.

Super Cat Tales: PAWS[edit]

In Super Cat Tales: PAWS, scarecrows can be defeated with any cat if the player runs into the scarecrow from a non-spiked side. Examples include:

  • Running and jumping off a ledge and landing on the top of the scarecrow. If done with Rigs, the player will get a jump-boost upon defeating the enemy.
  • Running and hitting the bottom-side of the scarecrow just before it lands on the ground.

Scarecrows can also be defeated with a single hit from any attacking helper.

Super Cat Tales 2[edit]

In Super Cat Tales 2, defeating a scarecrow will cause the player to take damage regardless of the cat used and the angle the scarecrow is hit from. To avoid getting hit, the player can run under the scarecrow while it leaps in the air.
