Mountain goats are enemies in Super Cat Tales 2 and Super Cat Tales.

Physical appearance[edit]

Mountain goats have a light gray oval-shaped body and a white face that is partially separated into two peaks near the top and a short, light gray tail. They have a pair of black shaped like short horizontal lines and a black nose shaped like a semicircle with the flat side facing up. Their two darker gray horns curve outward from their face but tuck in just next to their eyes. Their feet are hooved and have the same shade of gray as the horns.

Behavior[edit]

Mountain goats run along the ground, typically within a set area. Like the player, they can leap over gaps in the ground. When mountain goats turn around, they skid just before they change direction, then resume their normal running speed.

In Super Cat Tales 2, mountain goats can fall off ledges and continue running in the same direction along the ground. They can also appear with a traveler riding on top of them, retaining the same behavior as goats without riders.

In Super Cat Tales, mountain goats can appear as non-interactable NPCs in Lumi Village wearing saddles.

Strategy[edit]

Mountain goats in Super Cat Tales 2 can be defeated without taking damage by running into them from any side with McMeow, Olli or Robo Kitty. If the player runs into a mountain goat with a rider, both the rider and the mountain goat will be defeated upon impact.

In Super Cat Tales, mountain goats can only be defeated without taking damage by equipping an attacking helper at a pink spot within the level. The helper will defeat the mountain goat in one hit. Without helpers, the player may be able to enter the small valleys formed by gaps in the ground to get past goats without getting hit by waiting for them to jump away from the direction the player is traveling in.
