Red jumpers, also known as red carp, are enemies in the main games of the Super Cat Tales series and Drop Wizard Tower.

Physical appearance

Red jumpers have an oval-shaped body with a round tail and dorsal fin, and pointy side fins. The top half of their body is red while the bottom half is white. Their fins are all yellow and they have a round pink mouth shaped like a tall oval. They have a pair of black, curved eyes.

Behavior

Red jumpers swim back and forth underwater in a set area. If the player is nearby and moves above the red jumper, the red jumper will descend deeper in the water and leap out of the water above the cat in a short arc. Red jumpers will turn upside down if they land outside of the water and make leaps until they land back in the water. If they land back in the water, they will resume their swimming pattern.

Some red jumpers may spawn outside of the water and will either leap in place or leap and move along platforms.

Strategy

• Super Cat Tales: PAWS - Red jumpers can be defeated without taking damage by using the jellyfish helper.
• Super Cat Tales 2 - Red jumpers can be defeated without taking damage by hitting them underwater with the dive mask equipped.
• Drop Wizard Tower - Red jumpers can be stunned with a projectile and be knocked into from any side. They can also be defeated from rolling enemies. Depending on their position, the player may need to walk on the platform above a red jumper to have it jump to a position they can reach.
• Super Cat Tales - Red jumpers can be defeated without taking damage if the player has a jellyfish helper equipped at a pink spot within the level.

• Red jumpers appear as a catchable fish in Super Cat Tales: PAWS. They can be caught in Fishing Spot 2 at any time of the day.
  • The player may receive a daily quest to catch ten red jumpers with the fishing rod.
• In Portobello, the chef will request a red jumper and award the player with a bell if completed.
