Boulder minion
Boulder minions are enemies in Super Cat Tales: PAWS, Super Cat Tales 2 and Super Cat Tales.
Physical appearance[edit]
Boulder minions have an octagon-shaped body that is gray-colored with dark gray shading. They have a peach-colored accessory with white near the center seen on the opposite side from their eyes, near the top of their body. Their eyes are black and shaped like thin, vertical rectangles with white pupils. One eye has a black eyebrow running diagonally down to the right. They have a pair of yellow, rounded feet.
Behavior[edit]
Boulder minions are typically found in desert or canyon-themed levels, usually on hills. They will walk uphill and conceal their feet and facial features upon reaching the top. They will then begin bouncing down the hill with increased height with each bounce until they reach the bottom of the hill, of which they will reveal their feet and facial features and begin walking up the hill again.
On flat ground, boulder minions will walk back and forth without bouncing, turning the opposite direction at ledges and walls.
Strategy[edit]
Boulder minions can only be defeated by running into them with an attacking cat when they are walking up the hill in Super Cat Tales: PAWS and Super Cat Tales 2. If the player runs into a boulder minion while it is bouncing down the hill, the cat will bounce backwards as if they were hitting a wall. Boulder minions will damage the cat if they are standing under a boulder minion as it comes down.
Boulder minions can be defeated with an attacking helper in Super Cat Tales: PAWS and Super Cat Tales. Helpers will only intervene while the boulder minion is walking. In Super Cat Tales: PAWS, boulder minions take a minimum of two hits to defeat with a helper alone upgraded to level 3. In Super Cat Tales, boulder minions can be defeated with one hit with helpers.
