This is the version history for Shovel Pirate on Android, iOS and Steam. The game was released on February 15, 2024 under the version numbers 0.0.11 on iOS, 0.0.3 on Android, 0.0.3 on Poki and 1.0.0 on Steam.

Android[edit]

0.0.3[edit]

  • Added Android Back button functionality
  • Minor bug fixes

Version 0.0.3 was released on February 14, 2024 - one day before the official announced date - and is the version the game was launched on for Android.

iOS[edit]

0.0.11[edit]

Version 0.0.11 was released on February 15, 2024 and was the launch version of Shovel Pirate for iOS devices.

Poki[edit]

0.0.3[edit]

Version 0.0.3 was released on February 22, 2024 and was the launch version of Shovel Pirate for Poki.

0.0.6[edit]

Version 0.0.6 was released on March 1, 2024. This version adds a 2 Player mode that allows both players to battle in one of three arenas based around the three level themes in the main game (beach, graveyard and jungle).

Steam[edit]

1.0.0[edit]

Version 1.0.0 was released on February 15, 2024 and was the launch version of Shovel Pirate for Steam.

1.0.1[edit]

Patch notes: Achievements patch

  • Fixed achievements
  • Minor bug fixes

Version 1.0.1 was released on February 16, 2024 and fixes issues with the Steam achievements not being unlockable. It also fixes issues with the WASD controls where only the A and D keys were functional. This version also adds sprites to the assets folder for the pirate wearing different hats, although these do not appear to be visible in-game when playing the Steam version and are only present in the Poki version.

1.0.2[edit]

Patch notes: Local Multiplayer Update

  • Added local multiplayer VS. Mode
  • Added new hats 🏴‍☠️

Version 1.0.2 was released on March 7, 2024 and adds wearable hats for the pirate and a local multiplayer mode. The "Collectibles" option on the menu is moved to be within the "Options" menu, where the option to toggle hats is also found. Game credits are also given their own dedicated option within the "Options" menu instead of alternating between the version number and credits in the previous version.
