Spinning squares are interactive objects in the Slime Laboratory series.

Physical appearance

Spinning squares are square-shaped and different shades of gray. In their middles they have a grey square with a small dot placed on it. Spreading from the dot is a faint x shaped marking.

Behavior

Spinning squares remain in a fixed position in the air and will spin continuously on an axis in one direction at a constant rate. The player can jump onto the top of a spinning square to reach higher areas or cross over hazards. If they remain still, they will move along in the same direction of the spin and will fall off once they are on the side. In Slime Pizza, the player will remain stuck to a spinning square until they jump off unless they are underwater, of which they will remain in place if they are on the topside of the square.
