Pizza slices are pickups in Slime Pizza. They were scattered following the spaceship crash in the opening cutscene and Slime traverses the nearby area to recollect the slices.

Physical appearance

The pizza slices have a brown crust, yellow cheese, and three pieces of pepperoni on them. When collected, the outline is a light grey. On the checkpoint screen, all the toppings are red, except for pepperoni, which is black.

Functionality

Pizza slices are found throughout each level and can be collected by touching them with Slime. Once obtained, they are added to the pizza counter in the top-left corner of the pause menu, which counts the cumulative total of all pizza slices the player has collected over all the levels played thus far. Upon reaching a new checkpoint, the player has the option of unlocking it by paying a certain number of pizza slices or watching an advertisement. There are 210 slices in total throughout the game. If every checkpoint is unlocked with pizza slices alone, the player will have 6 remaining slices displayed on their counter.
