Ice (Snow Tale)

Ice is a interactive object found in the game Snow Tale. Below the types of ice are listed.

Appearance

Ice is light blue with a dark blue outline. Some part of the top of the ice may have white on it and ice will either be rectangular or square.

Game information

Ice slabs first appear on level 9 and will either cover sections of floor or cover small platforms. If the Penguin rolls on ice, the Penguin will move only a short distance forward but not any faster then the Penguin would if he walked.

If the Penguin walks on ice, it will act like normal ground except, if the Penguin stops walking, he will begin to slide a short distance forward. Because of ice making the Penguin slide, hazards or enemies are sometimes placed on it or short platforms of ice slabs will be placed between gaps.

Appearance

Ice blocks are square and divided into four sections. They top section of the ice block is white while the one below it is dark blue. The sections to the right and the left are both light blue.

Game information

Ice blocks often appear in large groups and first appear on level 2. Ice blocks often bar entrances to the bosses that are found in Snow Tale. To destroy ice blocks, the player must press the left or right arrow key two times to make the Penguin roll into them and destroy them. Sometimes ice blocks are scattered in random areas in level and can be used to reach new areas.
